Silvio Messana is the name of Montesecondo´s supreme winemaker. With great toil he has nursed his personal and elegant Chianti Classico into almost cult status. The 2002, his second, has already stretched the limits of praise. Undoubtedly, the secret lies in Silvio´s Sangiovese. With skilful precision he has pruned and mixed his Sangiovese grapes under the giving sun and alongside the gracious winds that blow almost compliantly over his 17 acres.
We present to you these two elegant wines, which my wife, Carina, and I bottled with Silvio - exclusively for Prinsen.
